Our Mission We seek to show the world what we already know: that Rat Terriers are the most amusing, loveable, liveable little dogs around. We also know that Rat Terriers have tremendous potential in performance sports. There is no breed on this planet with more potential as a dog to 'do it all' than the Rat Terrier--and we aim to prove it.
By selecting for athletic excellence and intelligence, we believe that we are promoting the best in our breed: dogs that can not only win in the conformation ring, but that can compete at high levels in canine sports, and be a whole lot of fun to live with. And by avoiding the pitfalls of inbreeding and exaggeration, we hope to contribute toward a healthy future for the Rat Terrier breed.
Our Breeding ProgramWe strive for brains, beauty, and performance, in a delightful small (not toy) package, with healthy genetic diversity. We breed infrequently, one litter at a time, planned well in advance--and so each puppy gets loads of individual attention. Our puppies are raised in our home, in close contact, and exposed to all the sights, smells, and sounds of Real Life. They are the happy center of Puppy Parties with our friends and their kids, they get exposed to all kinds of surfaces, places, toys, puzzles, and the clicker.

When I first encountered this handsome blue tricolor dog, he was strutting his stuff in the show ring, and he caught my eye immediately. Wow. He was confident, solid, and moved with balance and power. His pedigree is stellar, and he's proven himself with two fine litters. And his personality is just what I have been looking for.
Here's a dog with boundless drive and enthusiasm, but attuned to his owners; great varmint hunter, happy to retrieve balls for hours, but also a cuddler. At home, I watched Blu follow Ann's grandson as the toddler carried Blu's ball around, hoping-hoping-hoping it would be dropped or tossed. But he never tried to grab it, and was completely bombproof with kids and puppies.
Yeah! A high-drive dog with manners!
About the dam Champion "Ripley Ratso Rix"
Ripley has been the best friend I could have asked for. I've never known a more intelligent dog. She charms everyone she meets with her loving nature, and her enthusiasm for learning and showing off many amusing tricks. She loves clicker training, she runs tireless circles around me on long walks, she learned her agility weaves and contacts with ease, and she can leap a triple hurdle twice her height with a mighty bound. Also she has the prettiest head and expression I've seen in any Rat Terrier. Her major flaw is... she sure hogs the bed.
Ripley's previous litter includes two conformation champions and two up-and-coming Agility stars, including my boy Jeepers who is an absolute riot to run and to live with.
Now we're sharing the love... these will be some truly special pups for canine sports, show, and companionship.

All pups from this litter are now placed.Contact me by phone or email for information about our next litter, or for stud service--a fine dog is worth planning for. We have two fine bitches and a potential stud dog to watch for in the next two years. And if we don't have a pup for you, we are happy to refer you to a good breeder.
We do not dock tails or remove dewclaws. Read why here.
All puppies will be wormed (not once, but several times with puppy-safe Nemex), microchipped, and vaccinated at least once. Contract and health guarantee provided. We ship (carefully) nationwide, but naturally we prefer to meet you and your family if you can come and pick up your puppy.
